Whether you are meditating and hear that devious, judgmental INNER VOICE, or you get triggered in DAILY LIFE by a similar VOICE that materializes as a FACEBOOK MESSAGE, or that GUY’S COMMENT in the store, it is still ALL ‘Monkey Mind’.
The other day someone commented on a Linked-In message I sent out, and their comment was very judgmental and unhelpful. AHA! That is just MORE ‘Monkey Mind’! I chose to avoid the knee jerk RESPONSE and worked at MINDFULLY ALLOWING the emotional HEAT within me to just BE and let it pass through me. Ok it hasn’t FULLY passed yet, but at LEAST I am MINDFUL of it and am taking OWNERSHIP of the RECORDING I apparantly LOVE to replay over and over again! Its a STEP in the right direction. Perfection isn’t the goal, experiencing the MOMENT is….as is learning how to LEAVE the MOMENTS right where they HAPPENED instead of DRAGGING them with you forever.
ACKNOWLEDGE that your daily frustrations are YOURS. YOUR creations, YOUR offspring. If you didn’t keep feeding the little buggers, they would slowly disappear! MINDFULLY WITNESS your day from BOTH the INSIDE and the OUTSIDE, and SOON, you won’t even FEEL like blowing RASPBERRIES at the world!
